japanese practice K2YT has designed a residential apartment building in suburban tokyo, comprised of three gabled structures. the design is composed of two independent areas: communal living accommodation at ground floor level, with three rental spaces positioned above. the lower portion of the dwelling is completed using reinforced concrete, while the steel upper storey makes possible expansive views across the surrounding neighborhood. internally, volumes are brightly and naturally lit with pale timbers complementing the home’s brilliant white walls.
